The spring MotorMart AutoJumble at Beaulieu is just a couple of weeks away. We’ve got half a dozen last-minute tickets to give away to lucky RC readers, so you could be going for FREE…

The 2008 Beaulieu Spring MotorMart AutoJumble takes place on the 17th and 18th May, and promises to be another bumper show. Beaulieu Events Manager, Judith Maddox, reckons ‘The event has been hit by bad weather for the last three years and if the “three in a row” adage is true, then we should be due for a change in fortunes. Fortunately our exhibitors are a resilient bunch and demand for stand spaces is as brisk as ever.’

The crowds are bound to brave the weather and turn up too, and if you’d like to join them for FREE then all you have to do is answer the tricky question further down the page.

A new MotorMarque feature is being introduced into the show this year and will celebrate a significant anniversary in the history of a model that went on to become a legend or started an iconic design trend. The first vehicle to be showcased in this way is the Morris Minor, an enduring success in British motoring history, this year celebrating 60 years.

Beaulieu MotorMart, now on the hardstanding arena, will have over 200 vehicles for sale, ranging from concours classics to restorable relics, with a DealerMart area adjacent. In the AutoJumble over 1000 stands will be selling motoring parts, automobilia, literature and accessories. The Grand Marquee, for standholders wishing to be undercover, which was introduced at the last International Autojumble will feature for the first time at this event.

Taking place on Sunday 18th May only, the now established Trunk Traders, will feature ‘boot bounty’ from amateur autojumblers selling their surplus spares from the back of their vehicles. Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy all the Beaulieu attractions, including the National Motor Museum’s latest exhibition ‘The Art of Custom’.

Tickets normally cost £8.50 for adults and £6.50 for children (£8 and £6 Sunday), but we have half a dozen tickets to give away to RC readers because we love you all so much. To win a ticket, all you have to do is send the answer to this question to us in an email:

Q: The monthly RealClassic magazine has recently celebrated a birthday. How old is it?

  • A: Four hundred and forty four years old
  • B: Fourteen years old
  • C: Four years old

Remember to include your name and address (so we can send your ticket to you if you win), and email the answer to RCHQ at RealClassic.net

The closing date for entries is midday on Friday 9th May 2008, and tickets will be sent first class post so you should have them in time for the event on the 17th and 18th. The winners will be picked at random from among the correct answers and our decision couldn’t possibly be swayed by promises of white chocolate truffles. Oh no.

Or you can book advance tickets on 01590 612888.

Enjoy the jumble!
